These are the accessories I use on the daily. I’m so accustomed to them, I can’t picture myself without them. FYI: I’m using an iPhone and a MacBook Pro laptop as my primary devices. With no further ado, let’s get into it:
1. AirPods :
I got my AirPods about two years ago and honestly I think they almost make me feel like a cyborg. Practically everywhere I go, they go. I have them attached to my ears even when I’m not using them. I remember the last photoshoot I had, I completely forgot to take them off. They are light and just blend in. And they sinchronize seamlessly with my Mac and iPhone.
2. Anker Dongle:
This is the dongle I got for my MacBook because it came with only C-port inlets. I ordered it from Amazon. On unboxing it, even the package felt premium so did the build of the dongle. Although it’s made of plastic, the surface has this sleek feel to it. It comes with: 2 type-A USB inlets, an SD cartridge, a micro SD card cartridge, a HDMI plug, an ethernet plug and an extra Type-C port. Plus it comes with this plush pouch that you can just slide the dongle in. I have been using it for over a year now, and no regrets.
3. SanDisk SSD:
This is the first SSD I have ever tried and I no too shabby in my choice. It’s a 500GB SSD, but that’s not the coolest part. It’s super portable, the size feels wrong for an external storage drive. You could literally put it comfortably in your pocket (no bulge) or even use it as a keychain. And ooof, it’s fast.
4. TomToc slim Laptop sleeve:
As the name suggests, it’s quite slim and sleek which is why I got it. It makes carrying my laptop portably light. I could just slip my laptop in the sleeve or put the sleeved laptop in my bag when going to school. It also has this one big slim pocket at the back, where an A4-sized book can fit in with a pen (and my tiny 500GB SSD). Although the sleeve being slim means my charger can’t fit (at least not aesthetically). But that is the sacrifice you make for the minimalistic nature. Moreover, you could place your laptop on the sleeve when working. The sleeve is comfortable to the touch and it protects your laptop from getting scraped by sharp surfaces.
The bag comes in with a magnetic lid to keep the laptop in place and it gives off this reassuring click sound when closing it. The material is made up of brown leather and a fury-texture cloth in the middle. It’s nice to the touch but it can pick up coarse materials. So be mindful of the surface before placing your sleeve down. All in all, it’s an all-rounder of value, worth more than what you’re paying.
5. Lentel wireless mouse:
This is an astonishing take as it can easily be labeled “cheap”. But that is also it’s strong point. It works incredibly well inspire of the price. I wanted to get the apple mouse but I realised that it’s missing a feature essential to my graphic design work. It’s not that I can’t use the apple mouse, but having that function key just makes my work a click faster. There might be a customisation hack for the apple mouse for the feature but I’m not aware of it. So for now I’m sticking to this.
So there you have it, these are the few essential accessories that I rock as my daily drivers. Look out for an update to the list and do share your own daily drivers in the comment section down below. Until next time, it has being MG ~ Adios โ๐พ.
